Performance audit of Centrecorp Aboriginal Investment Corporation Pty Ltd

Lindsay Tanner, Minister for Finance and Deregulation announced the tabling of a new report completed by the Office of Evaluation and Audit (Indigenous Programs) in the Department of Finance and Deregulation yesterday. 

The report is an audit report on Centrecorp Aboriginal Investment Corporation Pty Ltd (Centrecorp).

Centrecorp is a private company established by the Central Land Council, Tangentyere Council Inc and Central Australian Aboriginal Congress to further the economic and social development of Aboriginal people in Central Australia. Centrecorp has received support from the Australian Government over the years to invest in various enterprises to benefit Aboriginal people in Central Australia.

The audit found that Centrecorp has generally managed their investments well but could increase transparency through the provision of more public information.
